It?s Sunday and I?m laying on the floor in my rental home just waking up from a long winter?s nap.? No, I?m thiiiis close to being finished with the renovations and decided to sleep in the house last night since we now have running water and a functioning bathroom.? I have to tell you, I?m getting to old (and tender) to be sleeping on the floor, however nicely carpeted it is. So, if you know anyone in need of an apartment in the 18702 zip code, let me know! On to the best articles that I found this week.
I didn?t have much time to hop around the web this week, but I did browse around enough to bring you some of the best articles that I found this week that you should also have read.
- Financial Uproar republished an article called Performance Reviews Are Useless And Should Go Away.? Never though I?d say this, but I couldn?t agree with Nelson more.? They?re a complete waste of time and if your boss doesn?t like you it really doesn?t matter how good of a job you?re doing.? I?d love a 360 degree review where you could tell your boss about their performance?right before security meets you at your desk to ask you to leave quietly.
- Elle from Couple Money and her husband welcomes a new baby last week but she still had time to write!? She is woman, hear her roar. I found a great article on how to?Maximize Your Flexible Spending Account (FSA)? over there.? Since I discovered the benefits of a flexible spending account about 8 years ago, I?ve sung its praises and encouraged my coworkers to take advantage of this benefit.? I wrote my own article on the FSA as well, but you should read that article too.
- We could all learn something from rich people (except those spoiled little brats that inherited all of their money and have done nothing to earn anything) so I?m recommending?5 Money Lessons From Millionaires over at Wisebread.? Rich people are cheap bastards.
- After sleeping on the floor last night (with a little padding) I?m all over DollarVersity?s?Quick Tip: The One Household Item You Should Never Cheap Out On.? My bed at home cost me over $2,000 and it was the best thing I ever did.? I?ve almost completely eliminated the chiropractor from my life.? If I didn?t sit at a computer for 9 to 12 hours a day I?m sure he?d never see me again, and his kids would have to find another source for their college money.
- The since the stock market crashed like a drunken 16 year old, now?s a good time to buy!? I don?t know anyone better than Mark from Buy Like Buffett to give you great financial advice.? You want to start out small, so here?s How To Buy 10 Stocks For Under $100.? Remember, you should only every invest money that you are willing to completely lose.? If you can?t part with that $100, you can?t invest with it either.
Okay, the church bell is ringing from a few blocks away, so it?s time to get off my ass and back to work.? I?ll post some photos of my amazing renovation after my tenant from hell moved out soon.? My knuckles will never be the same.
One last thing.? For the love of the blog, hit this link to go back to the home page and then hit that Google +1 button all the way up top there next to my logo.? I need some of those plus things.? Thanks a million.? Have a cheap ass week!
